IARP Conferences

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that Indian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals is organizing a National Conference of "Policies and Practices for Inclusive Education of Children with Different Abilities". A lot has been done worldwide in the last few decades especially after the declaration of International Year of Disabled Persons in 1981. In this series of events, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) takes to a new height of recognizing the rights of individuals with disabilities and bringing pressure on civil society to change their way of thinking towards them.
It is the collective responsibility of persons with disabilities, parents and rehabilitation professionals to play a major role for creation of awareness, delivery of services and building of infrastructure for ensuring rights based inclusive society for the persons with disabilities. The challenges are enormous as the issues concerning disabilities are yet to be prioritized. The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the recent trends and come out with strategies for ensuring rights based inclusive society for persons with disabilities.
This International Conference seeks to provide a forum for sharing of best practices and various challenges pertaining to life cycle needs of persons with disabilities.
I invite stakeholder across the country to participate in the conference and place the disability sector in the forefront of developmental issues of the world. Let us collectively witness the "National Conference on Policies and Practices for Inclusive Education of Childrens with Different Abilities" at Swatantrata Bhawan, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 17-18 November, 2017.

Yours Sincerely,
Dr. J.P. Singh, President IARP
